Empire Concepts Logo Founded in 2003, Empire Concepts specializes in digital video production involving pre production, production, and postproduction units. Since our conception, Empire Concepts has worked on some exciting projects such as the Detour De France movie and with SBS Sport on pre-race interviews for their live coverage of the event in France.

About the Production

Dan Jones Dan Jones - Writer, Producer, Director
Dan makes his directorial debut in Detour De France. After growing up in the small country town of Sale, in East-Gippsland, Dan made the move to Melbourne where he studied Marketing at RMIT University. Dan later ventured into studying Digital Television Production at JMC Academy in South Melbourne. "We have made a film for everyone; I am so proud of what our team has been able to achieve on this project because we have managed to show everything about the tour that makes it such a popular event."

Jim Coleiro Jim Coleiro - Associate Producer, Editor
Jim brings a fresh approach to documentary filmmaking through his creative and unique approach to editing and post-production. "After a year in post-production, we have finally got a product which I am extremly proud of and hope people can enjoy it as much as I have. Viva le Tour!"

Allen Lang Allen Lang - Executive Producer
Commonly known to his cycling mates as 'Harvey', Allen has been a vital part of the Detour De France team. Allen experienced one of John Trevorrow's Golden Kangaroo Badge Tours in 2002. "Detour De France is cycling at its best, an adrenalin rush with beautiful views, despair and the best behind the scenes look at the greatest race on earth! Come along for the ride, its alot of fun. Enjoy."

Greg Hargrave Greg Hargrave - Executive Producer
Greg is the Managing Director of Skilled Engineering and has had a long relationship with John Trevorrow through his sponsorship of the Jayco Bay Cyling Classic. A keen cycling fan Greg has been a vital part of the Detour De France team utilising both his business management skills and his cycling knowledge.
